ABOUT

Boutique Tax Planning With Big Four Discipline

Miami Tax & Tech was founded by Oleg Shmal, EA, with a simple idea: combine the technical discipline of a major tax firm with the direct access, speed, and accountability of a boutique practice.
The result is a selective advisory firm built around tax planning, implementation, and ongoing support rather than volume tax preparation. We work with individuals, business owners, and international clients who need someone to understand the whole tax picture — and stay involved through execution.

Team

Our Team

Miami Tax & Tech is founder-led, but not a solo practice. The firm is being built around a small group of named professionals with clearly defined areas of responsibility in tax advisory, compliance, technology, and international client support. For a boutique firm, this is a deliberate advantage. Clients know who is responsible for each part of the engagement and can see the professional background behind the work. As the practice grows, we are adding specialists selectively rather than building a large generalist team.
PLANNED KEY ROLES — Experienced specialists added selectively to expand the firm while preserving direct senior involvement.

Regional Advisors

Top Experts Where Needed

International tax expertise alone is not enough. One lesson from our founder’s 25+ years of international practice is that cross-border planning works best when U.S. expertise is combined with professionals who understand the other jurisdiction from within. Our independent regional advisors bring years of professional and personal experience in the markets our clients come from. They understand local legal and tax systems, business culture, decision-making practices, and the forces shaping regulatory change. This perspective helps us identify issues earlier, anticipate developments, and build U.S. tax strategies around the client’s complete cross-border position — not just the U.S. side of the transaction.

Alejandro supports selected client matters involving Mexico and the broader Latin American market, including international structuring and U.S.–Mexico cross-border issues. He also contributes local market knowledge, professional relationships, and coordination with appropriate Mexico-side legal and advisory professionals when matters require separate local representation.
